Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Jacquizz Rodgers carried the ball 32 times for 140 yards and scored two touchdowns to guide the Oregon State Beavers over the UCLA Bruins, 34-6, in Pac-10 action at the Rose Bowl.

Quarterback Sean Canfield ended up seeing a majority of the time under center for OSU (6-3, 5-1 Pac-10) with starter Lyle Moevao nursing an injury and he threw for 218 yards and two touchdowns on 16-of-21 tosses. James Rodgers pulled down six balls for 114 yards in the win, while Sammie Stroughter made six receptions for 91 yards and a score.

Kevin Craft struggled for the Bruins (3-6, 2-4), as he completed just 20-of-42 pass attempts for 189 yards and two interceptions. As a team, UCLA gained just 234 total yards and committed four turnovers in the loss.

Justin Kahut hit a 32-yard field goal for OSU in the opening quarter and Kai Forbath countered for UCLA with a 29-yard kick just a few minutes later, and neither team would score again before the half.

OSU jumped out quickly in the second half with an 18-yard scoring strike from Canfield to Stroughter.

A one-yard touchdown plunge by Jacquizz Rodgers five minutes later lifted the Beavers advantage to 17-3.

Forbath made good on a 35-yard field goal late in the third quarter for the Bruins.

Canfield threw a five-yard scoring strike to Jacquizz Rodgers early in the fourth period and Kahut than booted a 38-yard field goal for OSU. Late in the frame, Ryan McCants scampered 35 yards to paydirt and the Beavers claimed the 34-6 victory.

OSU put forth a balanced effort with 205 yards on the ground and another 218 yards through the air.

With his effort, Jacquizz Rodgers set a Pac-10 rushing record for a freshman with 1,089 yards on the season.
