Evanston, IL (Sports Network) - Northwestern senior running back Tyrell Sutton will miss the remainder of the regular season due to a wrist injury.
"It's disappointing for a senior to have something like that happen to them at the end of their career," said Wildcats head coach Pat Fitzgerald.
Sutton has 776 yards on 155 carries with six touchdowns this season for the Wildcats (6-2, 2-2 Big Ten), who are coming off a 21-19 loss at Indiana. He was injured in that game, but may recover in time to play in a possible bowl contest.
Northwestern plays at 20th-ranked Minnesota on Saturday.
The Wildcats could also be without quarterback C.J. Bacher for that game. He hurt his leg in the Indiana game.
