Pitt QB Stull released

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - Pittsburgh Panthers quarterback Bill Stull was released from the hospital Sunday, less than 24 hours after suffering head and neck injuries.
Stull was injured in the third quarter and taken off the field on a stretcher in Saturday's 54-34 loss to Rutgers. He was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital and was evaluated as having a concussion and a stinger. He will have further evaluations later in the week.
Stull suffered the injury after he was hit by Rutgers defensive back David Rowe while attempting a pass. His head snapped forward as he collided with running back LeSean McCoy with about six minutes to go in the quarter.
Stull finished the game with 283 yards on 17-of-23 passing, as Pittsburgh lost for the first time since its opening week loss against Bowling Green. Pat Bostick came in to replace Stull and completed only 5-of-10 passes for 65 yards, with an interception.
