Recap: Iowa State vs. Nebraska

Ames, IA (Sports Network) - Joe Ganz threw for 328 yards and a touchdown, as the Nebraska Cornhuskers defeated the Iowa State Cyclone, 35-7, in Big 12 Conference action at Jack Trice Stadium.

Ganz completed 27-of-37 pass attempts and also had a rushing touchdown for the Huskers (4-3, 1-2 Big12), who snapped a three-game slide. Nate Swift was his primary target with eight receptions for 112 yards and a score, while Marlon Lucky paced the ground attack with 74 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.

Alexan Robinson headed the charge for Iowa State (2-5, 0-3) with 87 yards and a score on 11 totes. Austen Arnaud passed for just 113 yards on 16-of-29 tosses, as the Cyclones suffered their fifth straight defeat following a 2-0 start to the season.

The Huskers jumped out first in this one and capped a nine-play, 92-yard drive with a 19-yard touchdown pass from Ganz to Swift late in the opening quarter.

Midway through the second quarter Nebraska was able to finish an 11-play, 85- yard drive with a 15-yard touchdown run by Lucky.

Lucky struck again late in the half, as he rumbled four yards for a score to complete a nine-play, 71-yard drive.

The Cyclones came out of the break quickly and posted their first score on a 67-yard touchdown run by Robinson just 37 seconds into the third quarter.

With just over six minutes to play, Ganz plunged one yard to give Nebraska a 28-7 lead.

Quentin Castille added a 19-yard touchdown run late in the game for good measure, as the Huskers claimed the 35-7 decision.

Nebraska rolled up 548 yards of total offense and that includes 220 on the ground.
