To Robinson’s knowledge, Murray was not informed about his dad’s condition until after the team’s loss to South Carolina. He did mention, however, that all signs indicate that the procedure went well on Sunday, and any future treatment was still unknown. "I heard he’s doing well," Robinson said. "And we’re going to find out soon." Murray’s mother spent much of Monday and Tuesday giving the team information about her husband’s status via Twitter. "Mrs. Murray was posting updates to keep us in the loop," Robinson said. Robinson stated assertively the full support that Murray has from him and the rest of his teammates. "We are just praying for him," Robinson said. "We just want to give support to Aaron and the rest of the family."

1. Jarvis Jones, LB, Georgia. UGA was down three defensive starters at Missouri due to suspension, but in the span of minutes in the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs' reigning All-American effectively throttled Mizzou's offense all by himself. First: Georgia leads 27-20 midway through the fourth when Jones steps in front of an ill-advised throw by Missouri quarterback James Franklin, returning the pick to the goal line; the offense punches it in on the next play to extend the lead to 34-20. Next: Three plays into the Tigers' ensuing possession, Jones tracks Franklin down for his second sack of the night, knocking the ball loose in the process; a teammate pounces on the fumble at the Mizzou 5-yard-line, and two plays later Georgia leads 41-20. That's how it ended, presumably because Jarvis decided there was no need to run up the score.

Matt Hinton gives top marks to Jarvis Jones. Go 'Dawgs!

Like many schools, the school has a traditional chant, with one side of the stadium shouting "M-I-Z" and the other responding "Z-O-U!"

Am I the only one who read this and thought, "M-O-U-S-E!"? Go 'Dawgs!

A potential move of Florida State to Division I could create a bit of a groundswell for southern lacrosse. Right now there's only two schools in the deep south that sponsor Division I men's lacrosse: Jacksonville and Mercer (and both were relatively recent additions to the level). The game is growing in that area of the country, and if Florida State drops the hammer and comes to play, will it push regional competitors to also make the move? (I see you, Georgia.)

NCAA Division I lacrosse expansion talk isn't going anywhere. I'm just saying. Go 'Dawgs!

#Mizzou D-tackle Sheldon Richardson on Georgia: "It's like watching Big Ten football. It's old man football."

Tough talk from a player for a team the Big Ten rejected. How 'bout if you actually play an SEC football game before you start ragging on charter members of the league, all right, Sheldon? You're the Vietnamese boat people of the conference; we rescued you from oblivion. Show a little respect until you actually win something . . . something like a game against a Division I-A opponent, O.K.? Go 'Dawgs!

"Russ" has served as the interim mascot on and off for the past few years. Now he will become Uga IX. He'll be crowned on Sept. 15. Editors Note: Seth has the story up. And we asked for Russ to be crowned here.

All hail Russ! This move is long overdue. Go 'Dawgs!

11. Georgia Once again, the Bulldogs benefit from not playing the three best teams in the SEC (Alabama, LSU and Arkansas). If they win at South Carolina on Oct. 6, I expect them to repeat as SEC East champions, and the fans will have to wait another year before trying to shove Mark Richt out of Athens.
