The Steeler fans are just as excited to have JJ on their team as we were. How blessed he is to be a part of such a great organization.
I think it is sad how an accusation can change the course of a young man's life. Hopefully he will choose to take advantage of what are still good opportunities before they are gone.
Lawyers for former Auburn player and current Cleveland Browns linebacker Quentin Groves suggest his defense will be that he didn't know about the money, didn't know what the money was for, and didn't know what would happen if the money exchanged hands... Groves indicated his support for this defense stating, "Hey, it's worked before!"
Due to corporate sponsorship rules blah blah blah THE PEACH BOWL MIGHT BE BACK, BABY! Now we turn to the question of why they ever changed it in the first place...
Creepy? Maybe a little. But still a very cool and well-constructed chicken salad tribute to our beloved former linebacker. (His dreadlocks are made of thousands of raisins!) For the story: Jarvis Jones Gets a Human Sandwich Statue Go DAWGS!
In case you have not heard, Georgia secured the commitment of Jeb Blazevich, a 2014 four-star tight end prospect out of Charlotte, NC. Jeb picked Georgia over offers from Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Ole Miss and Notre Dame. He credits his relationship with the coaches, the direction of the program and God's calling as major factors influencing his decision. Ranked No. 90 in the ESPN 150 and the third-best TE prospect in the country, this is a big commitment for the 2014 recruiting class. Please join me in welcoming Jeb to the Bulldog Nation!
Charley Trippi is the oldest living No. 1 pick. In this article, he remembers the good old days.
We got a commitment from Cameron Forte. I suspected we'd go after a JUCO forward, but it sounds like this guy is more of a 3/4 hybrid instead of a true low post guy. Assistant Coach Kwanza Johnson is also leaving, supposedly for TCU, though supposedly he had an offer to join Tubby's staff at Texas Tech. Apparently Jonas Hayes will now be elevated from his role as Operations Coordinator to Assistant Coach.
UGA freshman baseball player JT Phillips was arrested in the wee hours of Saturday morning. He was charged with DUI alcohol, failure to produce a license on demand, going the wrong way on a one-way street and underage possession of alcohol. Can't blame the ACC cops on this one... just a dumb kid doing a dumb thing.
