Dawg Sports Poll Results

Kickoff is fast upon us, so it is time to report the results of the latest Dawg Sports poll question while the issue remains relevant.

The question I put to my readers was the same one that was on the mind of every citizen of Bulldog Nation this week: "Which quarterback should start against Ole Miss?"

It was a neck-and-neck battle that was tied repeatedly during the course of the balloting, but, in the end, the incumbent, Matthew Stafford, edged out the hero of the Colorado game, Joe Cox, by a 51-45 margin. We'll find out shortly whether the Georgia coaching staff agrees.

In the meantime, a new poll question has been put forward for the good of the order: "Which is your favorite S.E.C. road trip destination?"

Go 'Dawgs!

SEC road trip destinations
I can't believe no one's picking Auburn.  Granted, the "loveliest village" is a pitiful excuse for a college town ('though not nearly as pitiful as Clemson) deep in the heart of redneck east Alabama, but the game day atmosphere is right on par with Athens (yeah, except for the obvious differences in the towns themselves and the infamous waterhose incident).

What I mean is that the size and make-up of the crowds are very similar (hate to admit that), but it's exciting to be in the minority of that kind of crowd once in a while.  And it doesn't hurt that we have a winning record there.

I have very fond memories of trips to Auburn, including sitting in the AU football lettermen alumni section in 1994 to watch their 20-game(?) winning streak come to a halt with a 23-23 tie.

Should be interesting
to see if anyone votes for Columbia. If they do they clearly deserve to be straight-jacketed and thrown in a room with padded walls.

great blog, TKK, keep it up.
Get positive, we've just been looking ahead to Fat Phil. Will this be the week that we unveil our secret weapon - Blake Barnes? Stay tuned.

On a family note, we're gonna have a 75th birthday get-together for my Dad on Sunday, October 22. Please try to make it. We'd love to see y'all.
