Thursday Morning Dawg Bites

I can't believe it's Thursday and there's still so much work to be done.  Since I'm sure you feel the same way, I'll skip the gristle and get right down to the bone.  Here's what you need to know to get you up to date:

So not the "Friends" cast member to whom Doug was compared.

All right, I didn't make it all the way through Tom Friedman's book, so I have to admit that I'm a little behind on this issue right now, but I promise I'll get up to speed as soon as I get a free minute!

  • I argued yesterday that only L.D. could write about soccer yet still be cool.  I was wrong . . . and I will utterly ignore the World Cup from a much more appreciative perspective because of it.
  • Speaking of the world, Dawg Sports evidently has readers in Japan and Italy, at least temporarily.  (By that, I mean they're overseas temporarily, not that they're Dawg Sports readers temporarily . . . at least, I hope not.)
You may consider yourself officially all caught up and ready to commence your workday.

Go 'Dawgs!

Right back at you, C.F.R.
Thanks for taking the time.

As I say, I hope you're right and that Matthew Stafford shatters every Georgia passing record along the way to producing an offense so potent that it doesn't matter if we give up 31 points to Auburn or 38 points in the Sugar Bowl.

Nothing would please me more than to have to admit that you were right.  As George Will once noted, the beauty of being a pessimist is that you're always either proven right or pleasantly surprised.

Viva Roma, I'll see what I can do on the Mary-Louise Parker front, although I'm pretty sure there'd be copyright problems with sticking her picture on a Dawg Sports T-shirt.

Thanks, Kanu . . .
. . . that was quite helpful.

Viva Roma, I don't know how to break it to you, but it lays out like this:

That is just about the last usable shot of Mary-Louise Parker turned up by a Google image search that I haven't posted before.

Unfortunately, there are a finite number of pictures of beautiful women in the universe.  It's sad, but true.
