Thursday Morning Dawg Bites

I can't believe it's Thursday and there's still so much work to be done.  Since I'm sure you feel the same way, I'll skip the gristle and get right down to the bone.  Here's what you need to know to get you up to date:  

• College Football Resource gave his preseason assessment of Georgia.  I took issue with portions of his argument.  C.F.R. provided a response.  Last night, I offered a rejoinder and C.F.R. got the last word.  
• There's kind of a "Must See T.V." thing going on in the blogosphere these days:  Jmac compared me to the "Seinfeld" Soup Nazi and Doug is being mistaken for a "Friends" character.  Could that be any more odd?  

So not the "Friends" cast member to whom Doug was compared.

• How does the Big Ten stack up, mascot-wise?  Nathan has it all broken down for you.  
• Net neutrality has arisen as an issue on the political horizon and the intercollegiate athletics blogosphere has taken note:  The M Zone has taken the lead, but observations have been offered at Every Day Should Be Saturday, Bruins Nation, Georgia Sports Blog, D.C. Trojan, and Burnt Orange Nation.  Hopefully, I'll be in a position to post something on this topic soon, but, in the meantime, please do not hesitate to leave your comments on this subject below.  

All right, I didn't make it all the way through Tom Friedman's book, so I have to admit that I'm a little behind on this issue right now, but I promise I'll get up to speed as soon as I get a free minute!

• I argued yesterday that only L.D. could write about soccer yet still be cool.  I was wrong . . . and I will utterly ignore the World Cup from a much more appreciative perspective because of it.  
• Speaking of the world, Dawg Sports evidently has readers in Japan and Italy, at least temporarily.  (By that, I mean they're overseas temporarily, not that they're Dawg Sports readers temporarily . . . at least, I hope not.)
