The Georgia Bulldogs are one of the final five schools on the list for Mary Persons defensive end Malik Herring, a four-star recruit that any college football team would love to have.
He plans to make a final decision Aug. 25, as you can see here:

Herring also spoke with Macon.com's Brandon Sudge about his upcoming decision.
The 6-4, 235-pound star is rumored to be leaning toward Georgia, although he downplays those rumors himself. Instead, he's playing it straight-faced publicly, not giving much of a hint as to a leader.
Here are his thoughts on Georgia:
"We are a really tight-knit group," Herring said. "Jake (Fromm) and I always stay in touch, we even FaceTimed for about 30 minutes recently. William (Poole) and I are like brothers, and we're always talking trash about each other. Lastly, Richard (LeCounte) and I are really close. He's my guy, and there's always a strong bond when we are together. I have nothing but love for all three of them."
Herring lists Georgia as a top contender and envisions a bright future for the Bulldogs.
"They're the home team," Herring said. "I also love (head coach) Kirby (Smart). (Defensive coordinator Mel) Tucker is my (man), and we have a great relationship with him. I love what they have going on there and I think they'll get a national championship sooner or later."
Alabama gets consideration for obvious reasons, and Clemson is known for producing NFL-caliber defensive ends. LSU was his favorite team as a child and he likes USC's coaches.
Time will tell if he chooses the 'Dawgs.
