I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that maybe watching college football just isn't for me anymore. When my wife asks me to change the channel to the SEC Network this week, I may just politely and respectfully pass.
There are just so many other ways I could productively spend that time. For instance, I could pull my molars out with a pair of pliers. That would certainly be less painful. I could try to teach a chimpanzee how to drive a car. That would certainly be less infuriating. Or I could simultaneously read "The Bell Jar" and watch "The Deer Hunter" while listening to Joy Division. That would certainly be less depressing. All these options would likely result in a better outcome than watching Saturday's games.
But I know some of you still like it, so here's one way you could choose to spend your weekend (if the options I've given you don't sound appealing):
Your Week 10 College Football TV Schedule >>> CLICK HERE!!!
THURSDAY
#12 Oklahoma Sooners @ Iowa St. Cyclones, 7:30 pm, ESPN
Sure. Why not...?
FRIDAY
San Jose State Spartans @ #24 Boise State Broncos, 10:15 pm, ESPN2
Ummm... ok...
SATURDAY NOON
Navy Midshipmen vs Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 11:30 am, CBS
Alright, this is more like it. As you may know by now, I don't much care for rankings and the like. So I just want to see Navy beat Notre Dame once again... and this year looks like a good opportunity. The Midshipmen are playing quality football and the Fighting Irish are not. Plus, if Navy can take down college football savior Tom Herman, surely they can knock Brian Kelly down a peg.
SATURDAY MIDDAY
#10 Florida Gators @ Arkansas Razorbacks, 3:30 pm, CBS
See what I mean? All these ranked teams and not a midday matchup between any of them as far as the eye can see. I guess I'll settle for Bert-ball.
SATURDAY EVENING
#1 Alabama Crimson Tide @ #15 LSU Tigers, 8:00 pm, CBS
I can't in good conscience suggest that you watch the Georgia Bulldogs and Kentucky Wildcats flail wildly around the field when a game of this caliber is available.
SATURDAY LATE
#4 Washington Huskies @ California Golden Bears, 10:30 pm, ESPN
Pac-12 After Dark.

That's all for this week folks. Until next time...
