It was a dark and stormy night and a long, sad drive home...for Auburn Fans. The Georgia Bulldogs upset the Auburn Tigers to:
- Drop Auburn 8-10 spots in the rankings,
- Ruin Auburn's chance at the SEC Championship,
- Become Bowl Eligible in Coach Kirby Smart's first year as the Head Coach.
Y'all we're going bowling and with only ULL and Ga Tech remaining in regular season, we could actually win out and finish the year at 9-4. No promises of course, but statistically speaking, there's a 12.5% chance it could happen.
It is our intention to celebrate Georgia Football Wins whenever and wherever they occur. The ugliness of any particular win is irrelevant for the purposes of the Victory Dance.
It is therefore my deepest honor and privilege to bring to you this week's edition of: Victory Dancing, Smart Style.
Coach Kirby Smart currently boasts a 6-4 record and a 0.600 winning percentage, having carded his third SEC win over the Auburn Tigers. At the identical juncture in their careers:
Vince Dooley's tenth game as head coach resulted in a win over Georgia Tech giving Coach Dooley an opening record of 6-3-1 and 0.650 percentage.
Coach Mark Richt was 7-3 (0.700) after also beating Georgia Tech in the 2001 season.
Ten games in to his head coaching career Kirby Smart is 3rd in line trailing Coach Vince Dooley by half a game and trailing Coach Mark Richt by one game. He's just slightly behind the two winningest coaches in Georgia Football History.
As always . . .
Go 'Dawgs !!!
