It’s hard to beat watching a Georgia Bulldogs game with ol’ Uncle Verne Lundquist handling play by play duties on CBS.
With the 76-year-old Lundquist set to retire at the end of the season, UGA gave the broadcaster a parting gift for his efforts.
I might be enjoying #uncleverne tributes more than him. ❤️ thank you @FootballUGA for wonderful night honoring Verne! @CBSSports @SEConCBS pic.twitter.com/tZWpJ1dhoQ

Brad Nessler will take over for Lundquist, who has held the position for 17 seasons, next year. Nessler’s great in his own right, but it’ll never be quite the same.
