It is with great pleasure that I announce the triumphant return of T. Kyle King to the editorial staff at Dawg Sports. That’s right, the prodigal weblogger has returned.
Kyle will be covering music, entertainment, and pop culture for Dawg Sports when he is not too busy with his other endeavors. You may be aware that in addition to his work as a respected member of the Georgia legal community, Kyle also works or has worked as an associate writer at such well-respected organizations as the New Republic, the Oxford American, and TMZ. We look forward to seeing his thoughts regarding the best Drive-By Truckers album (there is no wrong answer), the best Led Zeppelin album (there is no right answer), and the best Rolling Stones album (you have a right to make your own selection, but expect 3000 words on the flaws in your selection process with a quickness).
Kyle will also be on stand-by to help you figure out whether you’re an Elvis person or a Beatles person. I’m a Beatles person, and that’s why Kyle and I are never seen in the same room together. But I digress.
Later this week "Kyle on Kulture" will debut with an episode-by-episode exegesis on The West Wing which will run daily through February 2016. If you’ve ever found yourself laying in bed with someone and wondering what the heck "POTUS" stands for, well, prepare to get educated.
Additionally, Kyle will be filling in with long form pieces on non-revenue and international sports, principally soccer. Kyle’s passion for the beautiful game is well-known, and I believe he will bring a unique perspective to coverage of not only Bulldog/NCAA soccer, but also MLS, Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and League of Ireland (Sligo Rovers forever!!!) action. If you have any questions about the game he has asked me to let you know that you should feel free to pose them to him at any time. Georgia playing in the College World Series? Hit him up with your Juventus questions in the comment thread. Tight game at the end of the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party? Shoot me an email, I can get you his cell number. I think he has a pager, too.
