So here's how things are going around the Dawg Sports offices this morning:
Except of course insert "football" for "wedding". There's a lot going on around Bulldog Nation this morning, including saying goodbye to a beloved Bulldog icon, Seth Emerson discussing what we've actually learned during this year's fall camp in Athens, and Clemson trying to figure out which of our former wide receiver commitments they're gonna line up against us.
Loran Smith: We should all raise a glass to Dan Magill | Online Athens. Dan Magill has been described as the "greatest Bulldog of them all" and the wide sweep of that opinion should be obvious given the many corners of the world from which he has been eulogized. He deserved all that and more. DGD!
Chargers lose Kwame Geathers to leg injury- Cincy Jungle. Former Bulldog Kwame Geathers had to be carted off the field and into the locker room after lying on the field for about six minutes during yesterday's preseason game against the 49ers. We wish the big man a speedy recovery.
Georgia’s preseason: What we learned-Macon.com. This camp was all about competition because, as Coach Will Friend put it, "I think if you want to get your program in a position to be the best, you’ve gotta make them feel uncomfortable."
Freshman Clemson receivers likely to play early, often. With much of last year's production now gone, the Country Gentlemen look to rely on a bunch of young receivers, including two freshmen who were committed to Georgia not so long ago.
That should get your game week started. We'll be back later with a whole lot more. It's getting close folks, so close you can smell it. Until later . . .
Go 'Dawgs!!!
