Guerry Clegg hits the nail on the head in this commentary. Coach Mark Richt, long known as a choir boy in the Bobby Bowden "aww shucks" school of discipline, has finally earned the title of iron-fisted authoritarian. That said, some are now accusing Coach Richt of having now gone too far in the other direction. Clegg correctly dismisses this notion as "nonsense." Coach Richt, a true believer in forgiveness, didn't dismiss star players like Josh Harvey-Clemons and Tray Matthews because they messed up. Coach Richt dismissed these guys because they messed up again. I applaud Coach Richt for upholding a strict code of conduct among his players. It came back to haunt us last season, but trust me, the view from the moral high ground is much better.
