The Catamounts suffered a 91-90 loss to Duke at Cameron earlier this season. They are coached by John Becker who is in his third season at the school where he has amassed a 67-34 record.

Georgia finished tied for second with Kentucky during the SEC's regular season before falling to the Wildcats in the semifinals of the conference tournament.

Missouri also landed a No. 2 seed and will host Davidson in first round play. Arkansas is a three seed and will host Indiana State while LSU must go on the road as the five seed to San Francisco. Georgia State landed a six seed in the tournament and will travel to Clemson.

The winner of the Georgia-Vermont matchup will advance to play either Louisiana Tech or Iona.
