Tonight actually starts a 16 game homestand for Georgia, as Foley Field will host a game every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between now and March 18th when Presbyterian comes to town for a single game. The next game the Diamond Dawgs play that won't be in front of Kudzu Hill will be in Baton Rouge in almost a month on March 21st (hey Joey Belle).
Binghamton comes to town over the weekend, but this afternoon is about revenge after Furman beat Georgia just last season. Senior lefty Patrick Boling (0-1, 3.38 ERA) gets the start, after going 2 and 2/3s in the Sunday game against Georgia Southern on the 16th. Georgiadogs is reporting freshman Robert Tyler, the highly rated arrival from Crisp County, will pitch sometime after Boling. Freshman Matthew Quarles gets the nod for the Paladins. Georgia closer Dylan Cole transferred to Athens from Michael Corleone's alma mater in Greenville, SC, where he spent his first two seasons as a college baseball player working as the starting catcher and the closer out of the bullpen for Furman.
Tomorrow's game against Georgia St will start at 5 p.m. Junior Luke Crumley (0-0, 9.00 ERA), who pitched the final 4 innings of the season opening loss to Southern, will get the start against the Panthers and their junior lefty Kenny Anderson.
