Clowney WHO?? Jarvis Jones was Clearly the BEST SEC DEFENSIVE Player in 2012

When is the media going to admit that in 2012 Clowney was not in the top 50 players in the SEC in tackles (Jarvis Jones was 20th), that Clowney was 1.5 sacks behind Jarvis (14.5 to 13) for second best in the SEC, also second best in the SEC in TFLs to Jarvis (24.5 to 23.5), tied for 5th best in the SEC in FORCED Fumbles with a measly 3 (Jarvis Jones led the SEC with 7 which was also #1 in the NATION). The love Clowney received last year was easily the second best effort in the SEC. Any love he is getting this year is purely due to better competition leaving the league. Clowney will always be 2nd best. It was a joke that he received so much recognition when he was FAR from the best defensive player in the SEC last year...and I would wager that he will still be the 2nd best DEFENSIVE player in the SEC this year...much less the best player in the conference.

So explain all the hype behind pushing a clearly second best (at best) athlete for the Heisman when there are many better choices in the SEC if not the nation
