Now that Big Blue has been dispatched, here's what our seeding for the SEC tournament looks like.

Right now, the 6,7, 8, and 9 seeds are in play for us, with UT having a 1 game lead at 10-7, and UGA, Arkansas, and LSU all at 9-8.

Final games are A&M@Arky, Mizzou@UT, Ole Miss@LSU and UGA@Bama.

Obviously the big thing is for the hoop hounds to win on the road in Tuscaloosa, a loss here and we are in the 8/9 game against LSU or Arky with Florida on deck immediately afterward regardless of what else happens. This is our nightmare scenario and should be avoided.

If we win against the Tide, then things get complex. We own the head to head tiebreakers against UT (2-0 sweep) and LSU (1-0) and are behind Arky (0-1). Here's how this all shakes out.

IF UGA WINS AND UT LOSES, UGA is assured of a 7 seed at worst and potentially a 6 seed depending on any 3-4 way tiebreakers with Arky and LSU. This dodges Florida and is ideal for us.

IF UGA WINS AND ARKY LOSES, we have a 7 seed regardless of what happens with the Big Orange or the Bayou Bengals. If UT goes down too we move up to 6.

IF UGA, UT, AND ARKY ALL WIN, we have an 8 seed because of the tiebreaker against the Razorbacks in any potential 2 or 3 way tiebreaker scenario involving LSU. Ugh.

Bottom line, root for the newcomers to the SEC this weekend and Go Dawgs.
