The Georgia men's basketball team wants to close out National Signing Day with an SEC road win. Any Volunteers? - Daniel Shirey-USA TODAY Sports
Mark Fox's Georgia Bulldogs will cap off National Signing Day by playing an SEC men's basketball game against the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville, where the Red and Black have won just once in their last eleven trips.
Well, National Signing Day is finally behind us, and I, for one, am ready to kick back and relax after an emotional roller coaster ride of a Wednesday, so I'm just going to lie down, chill out, and . . . wait, what? There's a men's basketball game on tonight? Oh, for crying out loud, who schedules these things?
Hang on, though, because it occurs to me that Mark Fox's Georgia Bulldogs have rebounded from an 0-3 start in league play to win four of their last five SEC outings, including three in a row for the first time in two years. At 4-4 in conference action, the Hoop Dogs have a better SEC record than tonight's opponent, the Tennessee Volunteers, but the Big Orange's 3-5 league ledger should not distract us from the fact that Georgia has won in Knoxville just once in the Red and Black's last eleven visits there.
The 8:00 p.m. game will be televised on the SEC Network, may be followed on game tracker, and may be enjoyed using the various media on display here. Won't you join us as Georgia seeks its first regular-season four-game SEC winning streak in a decade?
