Devondre Seymour will follow in his adoptive father Richard's footsteps and play his college football in Athens. The 6'6, 300 pound prospect also held offers from Auburn, Alabama, North Carolina, Florida, South Carolina and Virginia.
Seymour is still pretty raw, but really made a name for himself by handling Robert Nkemdiche this season when his North Gwinnett team faced Grayson. On a day when Georgia appears to have lost out on the top offensive tackle in the country in Laremy Tunsil, Seymour makes for a pretty nice consolation prize. It's doubtful that he will contribute as a freshman, and there's still some worry about whether his academics will be in order to report this year. But long term, Seymour has about as high a ceiling as any tackle prospect in this class.
