Yes, that's right; they play basketball and football on the same night sometimes. Who knew? - USA TODAY Sports
Will we get to watch the Florida Gators lose? No. Will we spend time figuring out how to kill a prominent sports blogger with an arrow? Maybe; maybe not. We will, however, get to cheer on Mark Fox's Georgia Bulldogs basketball team and watch a Cotton Bowl, so come on into the game night open comment thread!
Tonight's open comment thread is going to be an interesting one, as this one will serve double duty as both a Georgia Bulldogs basketball thread and a Cotton Bowl college football thread. Mark Fox's Hoop Hounds will welcome the George Washington Colonials---I know, I know---to Stegeman Coliseum at 7:00 p.m. Eastern, when the Red and Black will attempt to extend their current three-game winning streak before beginning SEC play next week. You may follow the game here, and the contest is televised on CSS, to the extent that anything televised on CSS truly counts as "televised."
Approximately at halftime of the Georgia basketball game, of course, the Cotton Bowl pitting the Texas A&M Aggies against the Oklahoma Sooners will get underway on Fox. Oh, holy crap, a college football game televised on Fox. Forget everything bad I just said about CSS.
In any case, there's a Georgia basketball game and a college football game involving an SEC team we don't despise, so dive into the comment thread, follow along with both games, and keep the good times rolling the way we have the last couple of evenings. It's been awfully fun around here this week; come join the party!
