I ran across this while surfing and suddenly it all makes sense. Seems that the guys at the Russel Athletic Bowl (RAB) needed some fodder to fill a space and interviewed one of the Journalism Engineering Majors/Co-Regional Editors of FTRS and one of the questions the RAB asked the FTRS member was "On paper, what looks like the toughest game this season?"
The FTRS response was "The Georgia game seems to be our toughest year in and year out based on our record against them over the last decade (ask any Georgia fan that record, they'll gladly inform you) (editor or overall at 62-39-5). They have a ton of talent, and while I think our guys are much, much better coached, that talent difference is more than our level of coaching has been able to overcome..."HUH.
Paul Johnson has a FBS winning percentage of .633 compared to Coach Mark Richt's .736. Reminds me of a joke about Snow White, a mine cave-in and the 7 dwarfs...If the fact that Johnson's returning receiving corps have ZERO NCAA receptions does not describe his offensive strategy as one-sided I have no other explanation. How can a program expect to succeed when the only thing the Defense has to guess is Option Left or Option Right???
I may have to change my vote from Auburn to Tech (nah just kidding - a little). I still think I pity Tech more than I hate them.
