Andy Griffith. You and your Southern humor will be sorely missed. Thank you for the many years of laughter with Don Knotts and Ron Howard. I, on occasion, break out and just whistle the theme and imagine walking down to a creek bank. You take me back to a tranquil part of my life I miss sorely. When you get to heaven, look up this fellow named Erk, I am sure that he can explain the cow pasture and the hard pumpkin for ya.

Here are a few additional classic clips featuring Andy's humor:
"To the Lovely Juanita Beasley"
Andy's famous re-telling of "Romeo and Juliet"
And, finally, one of Andy's appearances on the old TV show "What's My Line" in 1959.
