Every year college football websites (including this one) do countdowns to the day when toe meets leather, the day when college football season gloriously returns to fill our lives and DVRs with its tribal, pugilistic goodness. Just as the Mayans found symbolism in the calendar, we here at Dawg Sports have also learned to divine meaning from each passing day which brings us closer to August 30, 2012. The problem is we're just not sure what each day means, so we're gonna need your help.
Poll
It's 43 days until the start of college football season. What does that mean?
43 is the number of times during the 2012 season that the average Arkansas fan will turn to his seatmates and ask "What you think John L. Smith might have on his cellphone bill?" (10 votes)
43 is the number of Missouri fans who will go missing during the Tigers' November 10th trip to Knoxville. Because Vol fans love pork, whether long, short or middlin'. (19 votes)
43 is the number of former bluechip recruits Nick Saban still has to run off to get below 85 before August 1st. (115 votes)
