MLB Draft often sees Georgia Bulldogs signees selected early

16

Good article by David Ching on day 1 of the MLB draft: a bit of history on some UGA Baseball signees that have signed with MLB teams instead of coming to school(some interesting guys I didn't know about on that list). Byron Buxton will surely be added to the list tonight, with talk he's going to be one of the top picks in the draft, possibly to Minnesota with the 2nd pick. One not being talked about is Duane Underwood, who some think could go at the end of the compensation round tonight, or at the latest, the start of the 2nd round tomorrow. Unfortunately for us, this has become the norm of late, and could be one of the reasons why we haven't been as good the past few seasons: over-recruiting and not getting enough players onto campus. Alex Wood should get drafted tonight as well.
