Today, the No. 10 Georgia Bulldogs women's softball team will take on the No. 7 Tennessee Volunteers in game one of the Knoxville Super Regional. The first pitch is set for noon Eastern, and the game will be televised on ESPNU. The winner of the best-of-three series will advance to Oklahoma City for the Women's College World Series.

Not many Red and Black teams still have a chance to capture a national championship in the 2011-'12 academic year, and fewer still have more than a puncher's chance, so the softball team likely represents the last best hope of Bulldog Nation before the offseason truly begins.
