Based on a tweet from Seth Emerson of the Macon Telegraph and Gentry Estes, Nose Guard John Jenkins is not going to play in the bowl game next week due to academic reasons. It seems he considered class optional. To quote DavetheDawg "I hope this doesn't mean Alabama beats us twice."

My personal take is John Jenkins was a tad bit of a disappointment, never getting in the full physical shape he could have and although he had a few moments here and there that were amazing, he never quite got where I expected. With the lack of physical conditioning and skipping class, it's going to be hard to bestow any DGD status on him, which is really, really a big sad. We had big hopes for him as the start of a serious 3-4 schemed NG . Regardless, we do wish him well in the future, but hope others don't look to him as an example of how to finish out your draft year. This is not how to do things at UGA.
