Auburn University is the loveliest village on the Plains worst place to live if you're a UGA fan. Although judging by the state of things, its not too great for Auburn fans either. Things are so bad with football in Auburn right now that they are looking forward to basketball season. That's right there is an athletic team of Auburn that had players accused of point-shaving AND then proceeded to lose several players to transfer AND then to find out one of their few returning upper-classmen is academically ineligible AND their best player is Rob Chubb who is a turnover machine, that fans are excited about. Needless to say things are not looking good. We all know that they soon will be looking for a football coach and AD, and then a basketball coach and then a baseball coach. Auburn athletics are not in a good place right now.
I am an Auburn student, this is my senior year, yet only my second at Auburn. As a life-long UGA fan things have been rough for me here. Most of my comments on Dawg Sports come around this time of year, including this little piece detailing some of my hatred for Auburn. Since the completion of that, there is so much to add, but I won't bore you with the details.
What I'll say is this- Auburn fans still talk about Nick Fairley's "domination" over Aaron Murray 2 years ago. They talk about how he is a cry-baby and can't handle "grown-man footaball." They still call us thUGA despite their recent transgressions. Onterio McCalebb even barked at me (when I was wearing my UGA gear) on campus before too, which was odd...
There is plenty more I could add, but I don't want to be more long-winded. I hope UGA beats the Chiz out of Auburn. I wouldn't be able to live around these Auburn fans much longer otherwise. Put them in their place Dawgs!
