After causing an incident in San Diego harbor that left 14 boats, an aquarium and a wax museum in ruins, college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit called a press conference yesterday to apologize for his part in the destruction.

Herbstreit was in San Diego promoting the Allstate 60 Seconds of Mayhem Sweepstakes.

A fire started on a boat Herbstreit was piloting, then spread to other boats in the harbor and several local businesses along the shoreline.

"Please know that if my words could unsink all of your boats and then unburn them, I'd talk forever," said Herbstreit in his press conference today.

Despite Herbstreit's actions, Allstate officials confirmed that its sweepstakes would continue at AllstateCFB.com, and someone will win a ski-boat, motorcycle, truck and RV, in addition to a meet and greet with Herbstreit.
