One day after breaking the school all-sports record for consecutive home victories, the No. 1 Georgia women’s swimming and diving team won its 78th straight dual meet in Gabrielsen Natatorium on Saturday by beating 14th-ranked Tennessee, 169-131. In the Senior Day victory, Maddie Locus recorded the fastest dual-meet time in Red and Black history in the 50 freestyle.
The No. 9 Bulldog men also bested the visiting Volunteers, topping the 21st-ranked Tennessee males by a 165-135 margin. Michael Arnold and Will Freeman contributed two event wins apiece, with Arnold taking the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly competitions and Freeman coming in first in the 1,000 freestyle and the 200 butterfly.
