Per Seth Emerson, the University of Georgia received good news today regarding the eligibility of the other player involved in the Columbus Parks and Rec scandal. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has been deemed eligible to play in the upcoming basketball season. This is a huge boost to the basketball team which will face a tough non-conference slate early in the season. Having Caldwell-Pope for those games could be the difference between a second consecutive NCAA Tourney berth and a year without post-season play.
