Shameless Appeal for New Friends
Huh? Huh? Anyone? My mom always said that if I just go up and introduce myself, people will like me. The jury's still out.
I'm coming into town for my first game in five seasons tomorrow. The usual group of folks I go with are somewhat scattered this week. Soo.....anyone got a tailgate in desperate need of another warm body? Anyone who agrees to say "Hi" if I come by can say anything they want about any statistical category they want, and I'll just smile.

I wish I could, Xon.
As I noted in another thread, though, I am taking advantage of the early kickoff and the open date on my son’s youth association football schedule to take my eight-year-old to Sanford Stadium. Unless you want to look for us in the Bulldog Cafe in the Tate Center sometime around noon or thereabouts, I’m afraid I can’t be much help.

This is what works for me...

You’d be amazed at how many free beers and drumsticks this will get ’ya. (Or, conversely, how many dirty looks…;-)

Yeah, but you're given an unfair advantage by the fact . . .
. . . that you’re constantly followed around by Delbert McClinton, who plays “Weatherman” every time you enter a room.

which sometimes cramps my ability to get free stuff
when you gotta feed the band.

Yeah, I know.
I used to run into the same problem back when Warren Zevon followed me places so he could play “Lawyers, Guns, and Money” when I walked into a room.

Not sure if you're checking this in the morning, Xon...
… but my family and I will be in Snelling around the 10:30-11:00 time frame. I’m a big guy, and will be wearing a red shirt with oversized “G,” and I’ll be with 3 other people.
