Why is everybody in an uproar about the state of Georgia football recruiting? If its only because four star recruit DL Jordan Watkins (Atlanta Woodward Academy) chose Stanford University over University of Georgia today, I’m not buying that Georgia recruiting is in shambles. No way.  If its because Georgia needs to make a decision sooner, then later as to whether or not Mark Richt will be the coach next year, than I’m at least willing to listen.

Watkins could have gone to almost any major college football program in the country.  He didn’t just chose Stanford over Georgia.  He declined every SEC school including Alabama and Auburn, not to mention he also had scholarship offers from Florida State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and more.  The fact Watkins narrowed it down between Stanford and Georgia says a lot about Mark Richt.

Keith Marshall may still commit and based on his comments from this past weekend's visit, things are looking pretty UP in Athens to say the least, with our without Richt. Here is what Marshall said..
