Let's see how poorly these look in December.
SEC
East -- Georgia
West -- LSU
Champ -- LSU
Surprise -- Kentucky
Disappointment -- Miss State
I think the Dawgs can start 0-2 and still win the East. Richt has been able to circle the wagons in the past, I think he'll be able to do it again this year if necessary. The West is a toss up, but LSU's schedule, outside of the trip to Tuscaloosa, sets up better than Bama's.
Big 10
Leaders -- Wisconsin
Legends -- Nebraska
Champ -- Wisconsin
Surprise -- Michigan
Disappointment -- Iowa
Wisconsin v. Nebraska is going to be a great matchup. Hoke will have Michigan in the top 10 when Nebraska comes to town.
Pac 12
North -- Oregon
South -- Arizona State
Champ -- Oregon
Surprise -- Washington
Disappointment -- UCLA
Oregon's final 5 games may well keep them out of the national title game. At Washington and Stanford followed by USC and Oregon State will be a lot tougher than it sounds.
Big 12
Champ -- Oklahoma
Surprise -- Oklahoma State
Disappointment -- Texas Tech
Surprisingly deep conference even with the departures. I'm not buying Oklahoma as the best team in America.
ACC
Atlantic -- FSU
Coastal -- Virginia Tech
Champ -- FSU
Surprise -- Georgia Tech
Disappointment -- NC State
FSU v. Virginia Tech finally gives this league a championship game worth watching. FSU defeats undefeated #3 Virginia Tech.
Big East
Champ -- Pitt
Surprise -- Cincinnati
Disappointment -- UConn
Tough call between Pitt/USF/Cincy/WVU but Pitt's strong defense and new coach give them the edge. Cincy beats Tennessee and NC State out of conference but catch USF and Pitt on the road.
National Championship
Oregon over Wisconsin -- Who knows what will happen this year? I think these two are as good a bet as any to run the table in a major conference so here they are.
