This, for the record, is what we have on the docket for us this evening:
- There are 14---count ‘em, 14---college football games being played this evening, beginning at 6:00 p.m., and including two SEC teams and an annual Georgia rival in Georgia Tech.
- There is recruiting news.
- Yesterday, I received an e-mail from a public school teacher who is looking for four tickets to Saturday night’s game in the Georgia Dome, so she can take her family to see the ‘Dawgs. If anyone can hook her up, drop me a line in the comments below and let me know whether it’s all right for me to contact you privately at the e-mail address in your SB Nation account. Thanks in advance to anyone who can lend an assist.
- Spencer Hall has 100 thoughts on college football, Year2 has subtracted 1904 from 2011 and come up with "almost 100," Bill Connelly has 14 candidates to be the SEC’s 14th team, John Isner had 14 aces en route to the second round of the U.S. Open, Rock Chalk Talk has five pictures of the wheel route in action, and Doug Gillett has two personalities regarding the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game.
That, my friends, is a full slate, so dive right into the season’s first Thursday night open comment thread. Everyone is invited to join in the fun of the first day of football season. I’ll try to join in later this evening, and I’ll be back tomorrow morning with a "Dune"-themed edition of "Too Much Information."
Go ‘Dawgs!
