PrintIn our ongoing efforts to provide a quality interactive community experience, we are today debuting a new feature which highlights a comment posted here by taking it out of context. This falls under the heading of "Completely Unrelated," and, as with such former features as "Kyle Gets Contrary" and "Random Crazy Idea," this one will be trotted out arbitrarily and capriciously whenever the spirit moves me, without warning or rationale, as an adjunct to the Comment of the Week.
We call it the Out-of-Context Dawg Sports Quotation of the Day, which I would explain, but, really, the term is fairly self-explanatory, isn’t it? Here now is the inaugural Out-of-Context Dawg Sports Quotation of the Day:
I also thought there would be cocaine.
And I am saying I’m disappointed.

I just posted a Fan Shot about this...
… but a UGA Volleyball player tweeted a description of Georgia’s Pro Combat uniform, thereby inadvertently leaking it to the world before its unveiling on Saturday.
The description:
Saw the New Uniforms Nike made for UGAs 1st game-red jersey & pants black belt silver helmet w/red stripe bada$$ gloves black/silver shoes
A highly-scientific photoshop of what this uniform might look like was created by Jason Kirk, and follows:
(I personally like the badass gloves most.)
Excellent photoshop by the way, and the way the gloves are depicted based on the description is pretty funny.

When I read that, in my head, . . .
. . . I heard it as “co-cayn-ya,” with a ridiculously thick we-don’t-need-no-stinking-badges/Al-Pacino-in-“Scraface”-style accent.
Fortunately, I’m quite certain that was how it was intended.
