Another Florida school in hot water

Remember Kevin Ware?  He was the highly sought-after point guard from Conyers who originally signed with Tennessee but was released from his LOI when the Bruce Pearl affair blew up.  He opened his recruiting back up and, inexplicably, committed to Central Florida.  Then, he dropped UCF and, for a while, it appeared that Mark Fox might sway this kid to Georgia after all, despite some misgivings.  Ultimately, the kid signed with Rick Pitino's Louisville Cardinals. I think the kid could see trouble brewing down in Orlando.  ESPN has an article up which details the issues facing UCF as they have received the dreaded 'letter of inquiry.'

NCAA investigators have already begun interviewing people connected to potential violations. Sources also said they expect the investigation will lead to the NCAA bringing formal charges against the Conference USA member.

The focus of the investigation is centered on Ken Caldwell, a former AAU coach who is tied to UCF and Brandon Bender, who played at Louisville in 2002 and "who is reported to have assisted Caldwell in recruiting players to UCF."  These guys aren't talking to investigators, but they will.

Kevin Ware may or may not be a problem for Louisville down the road.  He's definitely not a problem for Georgia.
