Crowell carried it 13 times for 84 yards and 1 TD. Samuel goes 11-82.
So says Benjamin Franklin Belue.

Ready to start panicking?
Samuel did fumble once, and freshman Amarlo Herrera returned it 65 yards for a TD.
We’re doomed I tell you. DOOMED.

That was going to be my reply.

Scoop and Score?
After last year’s Florida game, I don’t know whether to be pleased that it worked or terrified they didn’t just fall on the ball…

Oh- Seth Emerson has a bunch of stats up on his page.

Our run defense is obviously terrible

Not if you look at the rushing numbers for the second string folks going against the ones!
Then again…that’s probably just because of our complete lack of depth on the O-line.

Sacks in scrimmages are touch sacks.
Good (free) read on how to interpret scrimmage stats at Dawgs247.
Looks like Hutson Mason will be our back up QB this year
seeing that he threw 19 passes to Lemay’s 4 attempts. That means that Lemay will probably be redshirted to put him in line for the starting job his RS Junior year.
Its also encouraging to read that Boo got 12 carries with the 2s.
Even if he only gained 19 yards, it is good to see that he may have put his groin injury behind him.
Other notes:
Brandon Walsh nailed a 58 yard FG…and Bradon Bogotay hit one for 68 yards!!
Samuel also caught a few balls for 30 something yards. I can only imagine what sort of wrecking ball he turns into if you give him the ball in space and let him build up speed.
’Tree led the team in tackles (8). His move to LB, while puzzling at first, seems to be absolutely the correct one. I think he will give us a solid, consistent presence behind BBJ and Kwame.
CTG - he knows stuff.

Or am a stickler...
there was no “Brandon Walsh” in Goonies. He was Brand, not Brandon.

Absolutely in the right to correct me on that one.
I got ahead of myself and ended up misspelling Bogotay’s name anyway, hah.
Maybe on WALL street

I’ll have a post up tonight (probably within the hour) on that very subject.

There are several infractions that are there, and it's all way under the radar. It'd be cool if you broke it down.

there is the "lack of institutional control" finger being waved. Maybe you came to honor, not to bury.

It's posted, so you can see for yourself.
From what I’ve read—-and I haven’t read the latest on the Boise State athletic director’s firing in depth, so there may be new details—-the “lack of institutional control” bit was due to the violations covering several sports. The problem with that is that it appears the women’s tennis program was the one in which real wrongdoing was occurring, while the stuff about the football team was about as nitpicky as it gets. This could be a case of the NCAA being so mad at Ohio State, it puts Boise State on probation.

Warning: Bleacher Report link
but the article has a picture of LT Cordy Glenn currently, and one from last season. I was worried about Glenn being too slow to get after some of the quicker DEs he will be lining up against this season, but that worry went away somewhat after seeing the kind of results he got from Joe T’s summer workout.
I’m having a real hard time not getting excited about this coming season. I’m trying to keep the pessimism at a healthy level BUT WE ARE ONLY 22 DAYS AWAY FROM COLLEGE FOOTBAW! and I’m getting caught up in the excitement and preseason dreams.
FOOTBAW!!!
