Boise State fans sure are confident about a victory. While I appreciated Kyle's reasoned and historically informed analysis, I decided to do something a little more systematic. I compared each position group for the two teams, along with some additional important facts. Here are the results:
| Position/Factor | Boise | Georgia | Advantage |
| Offense | |||
| Quarterback | Last year, Kellen Moore threw for 3,486 yards with a 71.3% completion percentage. He had 35 TDs with only 6 INTs and led the NCAA in pass efficiency (182.6). | Aaron Murray threw for a mere 3,049 yards with a lowly 61.1% completion percentage. He had 11 fewer TDs and two more INTs. | Boise |
| Running Back | The Muscle Hamster rushed for 1,260 yards at 6.3 per carry. | N/A | Boise |
| Wide Receivers | Despite losing career leaders Titus Young and Austin Pettis, BSU still has one starter who averaged 18.2 YPC and another who led the WAC in punt return yards last year. | Georgia's leading receiver (T. King) divides his attention between football, writing this blog, raising a family, and practicing law. | Boise |
| Tight End | 4th Team All-WAC Senior Kyle Efaw averages 14.7 YPC. | They're so bad we're converting them to fullbacks. | Boise |
| Offensive Line | Boise returns 8 of 10 from their 2 deep, including 98 combined starts (13th in the nation). | We don't have enough warm bodies to field a 2 deep in the A-11. | Boise |
| Defense | |||
| Defensive Line | Boise returns 6 of 8 from their two deep, which last year allowed only 2.9 YPC and notched 49 sacks. | The best thing Coach Grantham can say about alleged d-line savior Big Bad John Jenkins is that he is capable of movement. | Boise |
| Line Backers | Boise allowed just 12.8 points per game, which you can't do unless your LBs are making tackles. They return their #2 leading tackler in JC Percy... who was a backup. | Our best LB gallavanted across the country on the AAU's dime and will totally be suspended forever. | Boise |
| Defensive Backs | Boise gets first team All-WAC safety George Iloka back, along with two returning starting CBs. | Our senior starting CB Brandon Boykin is better known for being the guy who doesn't fair catch punts. | Boise |
| Special Teams and Other Things | |||
| Special Teams | Boise's starting kicker has never missed a FG in college. Fact. | Blair Walsh missed 3 FGs last year alone! | Boise |
| Coach | Chris Petersen is 61-5 with 3 undefeated regular season over the last five years. | Coach Richt hired this guy. | Boise |
| Program History | Since joining the WAC in 2001, Boise has shared 8 conference championships and posted a 94% win rate (75-5). | Not valid after 1980. | Boise |
| League | The WAC has claimed seven NCAA baseball national championships, one AP football national champion (BYU 1984), a men's golf national championship, and seven track and field national championships. | The SEC are just a bunch of cheaters, PAAAAAAAAAWL. I'ma hang up and listen. | Boise |
Clearly Boise comes out on top in every category. Plus, we're wearing fancy dress up uniforms, which does not bode well. Based on this scientific analysis, I predict that Boise wins 147-0 and that Coach Richt is fired at halftime. He'll resort to human trafficking to sustain the extravagant lifestyle for which he is infamous. The football team will be disbanded, and Georgia will embrace its destiny as a basketball school.
