Was It Something I Said?
I love it when Auburn fans confirm the correctness of my preconceptions.

A whoooole lotta words being expended in that post
and the comments that follow.
If you need that many words to tell someone “I don’t care,” then you care.

Even the Mayor would call that post "wordy."

Thanks, Silver Britches.
Your comment gave me the idea to leave this comment in the Track ’Em Tigers thread.

When they’re dwelling in the bottom of the West this season and y’all are in ATL in December I’m sure the talk will die down.

Definitely chuckle-worthy material
And I’m barely halfway into the post. I almost guffawed at this bit:
I’ll be the first to admit to my lack of knowledge of all things Bowden-era at Auburn, but I don’t know that I’ve seen anyone don their shining armor and mount their white steed to defend Bowden’s honor and ethics.
Sir! Your school named its football field for Pat Dye. Considering honor and ethics is not even on the radar over there.
I'm throwin' recs all over the place over there in the comments.
Those people are too, too funny. AU Tiger appears to fancy himself — well, fancy.
My impression is that
he has a reasonable sense of self-awareness and enjoys playing his fellow Auburn fans about as thoroughly as composing diatribes against Georgia.
I thought that too
But he insists he does not.
But even if that's not part of why he does it,
It still is mightily entertaining to watch them jump in with both feet.
I hope it is
And it’s a lot of fun to help him a long too, if that’s what he’s doing.
Your post on people with disabilities over there?
Solid. Freaking. Gold.

Yea, it was. They didnt even try and respond.
As usual, AU fans can’t be bothered by data, facts, video documentation, accurate quotes.

I enjoyed the remarks questioning our grammar and spelling.
Having read the comments on TET and compared them to our frequent discussions on the use of the oxford comma, I have concluded that I’ll spend the rest of my day searching for a term stronger than “cognitive dissonance.” I’ll be back when I find one.

I would question Time's grammar and spelling too
I mean, they dared to put out an article called How ‘Bout Them Dawgs! It’s almost as if the guy didn’t even realize that Dawg, while a misspelling, is a common misspelling associated with Georgia meant to reflect the Southern drawl. But hey, we expanded on all this in the lead up to the game with the Huskies in March Madness.

Clearly you don't understand that Kyle doesn't know how to spell dog. Or any other UGA fan.

I hope its a typo on the Maple Street Annual page
The title of my article in reality used the appropriate DAWG spelling. On the table of contents its been changed to DOG. I hope this was an internet only error. I wouldn’t want the general public thinking I don’t know how to spell DAWG correctly.

This was one of my favorites:
So you’re attacking the persona, not the person? This is even better than I thought it was going to be! So you’re not attacking Kyle, you’re attacking the idea of Kyle? OF COURSE, why didn’t you say so in the first place?! That makes TOTAL sense now.
Elfcrash isn’t hate trolling, he is merely killing them with their own words. Too funny.

It reminds me of the bumper sticker I'm hoping to market:
Mean people suck [because they tell you the truth].
I continue to be amazed at the percentage of Auburn fans who seem to have convinced themselves that Auburn is so much better a program than Mississippi State that Cecil Newton wanted $180,000 for his son to play for Dan Mullen but would let him play for Gene Chizik for free.
What I don't get is why
they just are dying for us to like them. They have pulled the “love your rival” card, the “S E C” card, the “oldest tradition” card, the “it was just payback for chopblocks, it’s no biggie” card. They want us to be happy they won a NC.
When UGA wins an NC, I could care less if anyone else is happy for us or not, especially the war tigers.
Oh, and that’s pretty funny about being payed to play at MSU but for free at AU.

You know
I honestly never go on there to hate troll. I’m never insulting, and I never use personal attacks. I try to argue logically But in the time that I’ve commented over there, I’ve been called everything from a naive child to an absolute idiot. Logic hurts their heads, I guess.
Its a rare treat
To see a group of people live up to a stereotype so thoroughly.

Man, I wish I had the time to read that whole comment thread.
I hope someone called him out on
I’m pulling for Boise State, but only because in my rooting hierarchy, I tend to pull for the underdog — especially when the underdog is a mid-major going up against a BCS-conference opponent. He does know that BSU is more highly ranked than Georgia by, uh, everyone and has been the Vegas favorite since the game was announced, right?
See, your problem is the same as most Georgia fans' problem here.
You keep trying to cloud the issue with facts, when you’re clearly just a hater.

There's only one thing to do. We've been schooled.
I’ll just say “congrats” on your 6 probations since 1957 (and counting) Mythical National Championship and cry now. No one cares.

I saw it earlier and thought it was lame...
you did not post it over there, so why did he not just make his own post about why he either hates Georgia or does not hate Georgia—really no need to bring your stuff over there, block quote several sections and respond to them. You hate Auburn and explained why other UGA fans should on a UGA site, he should respond here to it or just ignore it imo.

GET TO THE RIM HEAT! ATTACK THE PAINT!
It was a horrible read to be honest. Two pages of line by line block quotes.
What may have been a touch funny as a response went into overkill and absurd. Then Elfcrash just ripped them apart.

Yeah that was one of my favorite parts
He got all mad at me for commenting over there on his post because he said it was meant just for TET……this was after he wrote a 3000 word essay on TKK’s post on this site.
There's a line in there that says "Even the CBS commentators said he was blocked into....."
and then it says “Frankly, their credentials are better than the author’s.”
That’s the crap that caused me to skim read that post, because my mom’s cat knows more about football than Verne Linquist. Furthermore, Gary and Verne got extremely silent and even said “wow” when Fairley hit AM in the back.

Ah, I stand corrected.
Still seems appropriate at that point in the thread, though more as a meta-comment now.

Was it just me...
…or did I get a very heavy air of Paul Johnson’s way of thinking on that post? As if the deep south’s oldest rivalry means nothing to them and they don’t have to worry about us each november…
Strange, I seem to remember us proving the nerds wrong…. This year we’ll just have to prove the Tiglesmen wrong and make it 5-1.
