"Dawg My Ride": A Georgia Fan's Answer to the Gatormobile
In addition to posting invaluable polls concerning the scheduling of the Second Annual Dawg Sports Sacrificial Goat Roast, podunkdawg is performing the crucial public service of demonstrating that fans of the Florida Gators are just as gauche when it comes to their wheels as they are when it comes to their attire, hairstyles, personal hygiene, and taste in college teams.
Nevertheless, the sight of the garish Gatormobile caused many to wonder what it would look like if a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs brought the class of the Red and Black to bear upon a similar project. In other words, what would it look like if a Georgia fan opted to "Dawg his ride"?
A loyal reader was kind enough to answer that question by sending me pictures of his own vehicle. This, my friends, is how a Bulldog partisan’s transportation ought to look:

Sweet.
Go ‘Dawgs!

Just stickers? Weak.
No Sanford Stadium from above paint job on the hood? Not even some fancy rims like so?

How about a red and black plaid paint job, like so?

Not even a full on red and black paint job with massive G’s, like so?

I am disappoint. It’s these lowered expectations and tame, bread and water style that’s killing us. We need to go for the gusto, be big and loud and obnxious, like a train coming down the tracks. Until we’re willing to go that extra mile, we’ll never beat Florida.

I've been contemplating
a personalized license plate – and GATA seems so appropriate, and not likely to be taken, however it has the drawback of not being well understood outside the Bulldog Nation.
I am open to suggestions for said plates – Oklahoma offers a silver grey colored plate (as well as other less attractive color options. Requirements are up to 7 characters, consisting of letters, numbers plus a dash or space.
Besides GATA, what other suggestions might y’all have?
I can bake like a demon.
When I lived in Illinois for a few years...
… I went with GADAWGS.
Seemed pretty obvious to me, but I got stabby real quick after the 9,000th time somebody asked me, “What does Gad-uh-wags mean?”
Suggestions
YO Gatah, DED DAWG, oops…ERK YALL, 2BA DAWG, OKI DAWG, 1MO DAWG, GO JAWJA, 2 ATHENS, H WALKER, ………
I like OKI DAWG - however only 1.4M Oki's wont get it.

The material
And the seven characters are limiting enough tank. Give a Saurien a break. By the way, just what would the 1.4 get? STOOP SI?
If you want simple, and understandable...

Once (if) I start making serious money
I plan on getting a Caterham 7 Roadsport in UGA colors. Imagine something like the picture below but with silver fimbriation around the black nose stripe.

This is off-topic, but I didn't see another post about it...
Someone at work asked me today if I had heard that Mark Richt is one of the names in the mix for Ohio State. Since I live in Louisiana and this person is a Arkansas fan, I assume that he actually heard it from somewhere other than intoxicated Dawg fans at a bar. Is this just wild gossip by some ESPN analyst?
I don't think your friend would have heard it from intoxicated Georgia fans at the bar...
… more likely it was intoxicated Ohio State fans.
Either way, though, there’s a less than a one-half-of-one-percent chance that Mark Richt would even be interested in the Ohio State job if approached, let alone pursuing it himself.
I didn't really think it made much sense either.
If I run into him again before this goes out the other ear, then I’ll ask for the source of his info.
His buttocks are the source of his information.
I get why Ohio State would want him—-recent struggles aside, Mark Richt has a stellar overall won-lost record in the country’s toughest conference and a sterling reputation for integrity, which the Buckeyes need right now—-but the risk of Coach Richt bolting Athens for another job in football while he remains gainfully employed at Georgia is, and always has been, nil.
Go 'Dawgs!
Richt couldn't take Columbus and their overall culture of crookedness
it’d be a culture shock for both sides that I don’t think would work at all. That, and they’d look at his record vs. Florida and rule him out ala John Cooper.

funny how people will hate on CMR
but when a large HC job opens up, his name gets in the mix. WTH?

My dad's first new car purchase (back in the day)
… looked a little something like this:

A black MGA with red interior. Alas, once he got married and started a family, he had to trade it in for something more practical. Damn it.
I’ve got a photo of the actual car scanned around here somewhere. I’ll see if I can dig it up.
photo's not far off, except
I’m pretty sure the steering wheel was not situated as it would have been for driving in Morris Garage’s homeland.

This is much better though - has graphics down the side. And a classy "g" on the rims.
