Happy David Pollack's Birthday one and all! And a very happy Fathers' Day as well. This is your open comment thread for the final day of the U.S. Open at Congressional Country Club. Unless he does his own personal impression of the Hindenburg, Rory McIlroy is on the way to winning his first major. Of course, we said the same thing earlier this year, so, you know, let's watch anyway.
In Bulldog news, Russell Henley (1:20 p.m. tee time) is tied for 21st at even par, Christo Greyling (on the course now) is tied for 63rd, and Bubba Watson (off the tee at 10:40) is likewise well back in the pack at 56th. For those watching the television broadcast Henley should get a good bit of television time this afternoon, as broadcasters love it when an amateur plays in a late group on Sunday. Henley's not just playing to get himself on television. The top 10 finishers get invited back for next year's Open, and the top 8 get a ticket to the 2012 Masters.
So, watch with your dad, your son, or former South Carolina quarterback Corey Jenkins if you prefer, and comment to your heart's content. Until later . . .
Go 'Dawgs!!!
