The brackets have been unveiled for the 2011 NCAA Tennis Championships, and the Red and Black will open both the men’s and women’s tournaments at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

The Bulldog women earned the right to host the first two rounds, as the Georgia lady netters were seeded eighth in the field of 64, entitling them to welcome first-round opponent Marist and potential second-round foes Alabama and Utah to Athens. Whichever team emerges from the Classic City competition will face the winner of the opening rounds in Berkeley, hosted by ninth-seeded California.

The Bulldog men received the No. 6 seed, meaning Georgia will open against Samford with a shot at moving on to face either Auburn or UNC-Wilmington. The other hosts in the Red and Black’s quartile of the bracket are No. 14 California, No. 11 Duke, and No. 3 Tennessee.
