NCAA Baseball Tournament Regional Host Sites Announced
I'd prefer to see Georgia playing as the No. 2 seed in Clemson, but the Atlanta Regional is the Diamond Dogs' most likely destination.

I hate playing Tech in the Regionals
They already take the mid-week games against the Diamond Dawgs way too seriously, and absolutely can’t stand playing them when they have the extra motivation of the NCAA tournament. Given, it’s worked out for us in the past, but I still hate it. It’s strange to me that the NCAA has gone to great lengths in the past to keep instate rivals from playing each other in the opening round (think ASU/Arizona and Clemson/South Carolina), but they always seem more than happy to pit us against the Yellowjackets in a Regional. Maybe I’m making a mountain out of a mole hill, but I just can’t stand the possibility of being knocked out by the clowns on North Avenue.

I agree, although, as you say, we've had very good success against Georgia Tech in postseason play.
The problem is that, in order to avoid a regular-season rematch, the NCAA would have to send Georgia someplace like North Carolina, Texas, or Virginia, as the Bulldogs played multiple regular-season rivalry games against Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt. Heck, the Diamond Dogs even faced UCLA in Los Angeles. Those are the breaks when you play the toughest schedule in the nation, I suppose: the postseason is chock-full of teams you’ve faced before.
