Boise State-Georgia Game Critical to Future of Mountain West
The Broncos are used to playing big games by now, so BSU's 2011 tilt with the Bulldogs isn't nearly on a par with Boise State's 2005 visit to Sanford Stadium in terms of the program's now well-established national prestige, but a win by the boys in blue over the Red and Black on September 3 could be huge for the MWC's BCS chances.

This is a lose-lose game for Boise.
If we win, their BCS hopes die on the vine. On the other hand, if they win, I doubt they ultimately get much credit for it. We were a 6-7 team last year. If we lose to Boise, it’s almost certain that we lose to SC the next week. Then we probably lose at least 1 or 2 more SEC games, and don’t even win the East. Then Boise’s “marquee” win is over a middle-of-the-pack SEC team (in what is looking like a down year for the conference) that probably doesn’t finish the season in the top 25.
The only way beating us ultimately looks good for Boise is if we run the table thereafter, and that just isn’t going to happen. We’re not the 2010 Hokies, and we don’t play in the ACC.
Obviously, the best possible outcome is for Georgia to blow them out and make a return trip to the Dome in December. Go Dawgs!!

this is all why I did not like this match up at all. It’s a lose lose for us as well. We win – so what, we lose….ooops, we lost to BSU. This is like playing Tech as a bookend. What the media wants is BSU to win, and then we have a solid year, say 8+wins. maybe 9+, and BSU goes undefeated.
