Georgia Bulldogs' 2011 Recruiting Class Capped Off by Addition of John Jenkins
The Georgia Bulldogs’ 2011 signing class was finalized on Saturday with the addition of perhaps the biggest---literally and figuratively---recruit in this group of signees, the mammoth defensive tackle who will anchor Todd Grantham’s 3-4 defense and cement his already-burgeoning legend as "Big Bad John." Here, for the record, is the final rundown of the Red and Black’s recruiting haul:

When the sun rose last Wednesday morning, Georgia had 23 verbal commitments and was in the running for five more uncommitted prep prospects. The Bulldogs signed all 23 verbal commitments without so much as a single defection, and the Red and Black landed three of the five who had yet to declare their intentions. Given the ways in which this group has quality, has quantity, and fills needs, it’s hard to view the 2011 signing class as anything other than a grand slam.
Welcome to Bulldog Nation, gentlemen. Here’s hoping you’re as highly hyped upon your departure from the Classic City as you are upon your arrival in Athens!
Go ‘Dawgs!

In thinking ahead to next year's recruiting coverage, . . .
. . . I think I may list the weights of our 2012 signees in stone instead of in pounds.
Go 'Dawgs!
I'm 15st 1lb.
and my 40 time is next Wednesday.

The weights are ALWAYS way plussed up. But even still, wow. Knock of 10%, and its still, wow. I think the Bear would like this class.

It is Great To Be A Georgia Bulldog!!!
Welcome to Athens, boys. We are so very proud to have you!!!
"...maybe a couple bottle rockets/light the fuse/point it out the window and watch it/ okay, maybe not, nevermind/ let's be responsible/where's the moonshine?
The big, bad oddsmaker in my gut...
…just pulled our Dawgs a little better than even against Boise. We going to have to slow them down to have a chance, and maybe we just found the missing piece to do so.
CMR is...
“one of those guys that you can give your all to. I felt like if it was the fourth quarter, I could look at the sideline, look at that man and can give my all for that guy.”
“I also told coach Richt that if I decide to go to Georgia I’m going to work hard. When I get down to Georgia I’m not going to change myself. I’m going to be humble. I’m going to work hard toward my degree and play good on the football team.”

I am excited about this
No need to warn against being overly optimistic. I have been awake and alert the past three years – I know – but I will be excited about this.

When we get a good pic of Big Bad John in Georgia red...
we need a KTMFD/GATA pic done up with him!
If you're gonna do it, go ugly early.
Back out the Alabama oversigning (11 players)...
…and FSU oversigning (5 players), and Georgia ends up with the #1 class at Rivals.
Yeah, yeah, recruiting rankings and whatever…
…but the headlines of “Georgia lands #1 class” certainly wouldn’t hurt.
Oh well. Oversigning’s days are numbered and Saban is going to be screwed without his 4-year rolling roster of 30 to 40 more players than most schools.
