Congratulations to the softball team for a well-deserved honor...

… but should we really be excited about this? I mean, Georgia’s athletics teams don’t exactly have the best record when ranked #1 over the past 3 years.

(Sorry, that’s just my pessimistic nature taking over.)

3 SEC teams in the top 5, with all of them receiving votes?
I guess we’ll see what we’re all made of this weekend – playing in the same tournament out in Cali. UGA plays Arizona and Oklahoma, while UF faces UCLA and Texas
(both are also playing others)
the above 4 teams have a combined 40-3 record so far this season….
