Confrontation Occurs; Georgia Coach Automatically Assumed to be in the Wrong
I read Dr. Saturday daily, I'm a big fan of Matt Hinton, and I have no major quarrel with Graham Watson's work generally, but this is the second time Watson has pointedly sided against a Georgia coach in a situation where, to put it delicately, it was far from clear that the Georgia coach was in the wrong. I hope it's just coincidental, but it's genuinely vexing.

Uber-straight-laced Coach Mark Richt gets skewered by the media anyway.
In other breaking news, water is wet, the sky is blue, etc.

Go Dawgs!
I was a little embarassed for Mark Richt here.
Why would asking about suspensions or injuries ever not be a legitimate question, especially after recent suspensions?I hate to agree with Hinton on this because he never points out anything anyone in college sports has done right—notably, on this case, not mentioning that Georgia’s policy on drug tests is rather strict or that many schools do not announce these things at all—but in this one I kinda concur.
Please, Matt Hinton, get some balance, though, damn. That column is turning into a continuous rant about even the slightest misdeed in college football.

first question
“Why is this a story.”
Second or third question (paraphrasing):
“A reporter was a little rude, a coach was a little thin skinned, move on.”
Well done gentlemen.
