PrintThe Georgia Bulldogs had an early kickoff this week, but there's still lots of stuff to discuss after a 12:30 p.m. Eastern start in Sanford Stadium. More precisely, there are three things to discuss: (1) Georgia's game, the result thereof, the conclusions to be drawn thereby, and the consequences flowing therefrom; (2) the other college football games taking place around the country; and (3) just how unbelievably early 12:30 p.m. Eastern truly is for a football game involving a Southeastern Conference team.
Feel free to discuss the Bulldogs' tussle with the New Mexico St. Aggies, and the day's remaining games of note---including, but not limited to, a couple of clashes involving an SEC division frontrunner or two---in this thread.

It was a horrible, horrible piece.
The narrator was trying to sound southern, and said football wasn’t really religion in the south, then they showed the Bear, then they read and showed that scripture.

I’m saying if a blowout were to happen we all know what the narrative would be: “Look how far Georgia is from the SEC elite!” All the hot seat stuff goes on again. Alternatively, if we won a New Years Day bowl and finished at 11-2 things would be significantly different. We would have momentum going into 2012 and would be favored to win the East.
It isn’t what I want to happen necessarily, but it might be beneficial from the perspective of building the program back up. Thats my answer to the initial question.

we're all good
measured 5.6 (they upgraded) and was about 100 mi west of me and about 175 mi SE of TT. It just felt weird, sounded like a loud diesel truck or distant train.
